Quick Caramelized Chicken Recipe

Caramelized Chicken:

Healthy foods doesn’t mean that you compromise on taste. You can cook any food with slight change in their recipes to make it healthy. Cooking a recipe healthy way is the key of healthy food. Here is a delicious and quick recipe of Caramelized Chicken for you.


Serves: 2-4

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 20 minutes

You’ll need

Marinade: Ingredients

Dry thyme= 1 tsp

Partially melted brown sugar= 2 tbsp

Worcestershire sauce= 3 tsp

Dry chili flakes or chili paste= ½ tsp

Balsamic vinegar=2 tbsp

Soy sauce= 2 tbsp

Tomato ketchup= 2 tbsp

Olive oil= 3 tbsp

Chicken: Ingredients

4 chicken legs

4 large red onions, peeled and cut into wedges

10 cherry tomatoes on the vine

4 large baking potatoes, to serve


Preheat the oven to 200 °C/400°C gas mark 6

Put all the marinade ingredients in a big sandwich bag

Add the chicken and the onion wedges

Shake around so all the ingredients get well coated in the marinade

Marinade is ready for cooking.

When you start cooking, put the chicken legs into a roasting dish with the marinade, onions and the tomatoes.

Cook in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through

The tomatoes should burst and the onions will go crispy around the edges.

Meanwhile cook the potatoes in the microwave at 800W for eight minutes

You can pop the potatoes in the oven with the chicken when they are done to crisp up the skin.

To serve, put the potatoes on plates and add the chicken and roast vegetables together with the marinade.
